If you're going to have a speech at a college in front of thousands of students, shouldn't you be prepared for interesting questions? Well, one college student attending the University of Florida believed this concept. Senator John Kerry was giving a speech to that university when a student decided to ask an interesting question. Now, the question in my mind doesn't matter. What matters is that a bunch of 20+ year olds are bound to ask the questions you don't want asked. It's not like Senator Kerry got offended or anything, the security guards just attacked the student. I understand the concept of respect but I also understand the concept of Freedom of Speech. This student was in no way disrespectful to the Senator and simply needed his question answered. Sometimes it's not enough to simply just know the answer you need to hear that answer. I also find that America seems to deal with "issues" with unnecessary aggression.
